A jazz-filled score brings to life the story of a love triangle between two musicians and their muse in Miravel from Sacred Fools Theater Company. In this Cyrano-esque tale, reclusive jazz composer Alphonso Bloch falls for the beautiful dancer Miravel and is inspired to write for her. But when Miravel turns her attentions elsewhere, Alphonso sacrifices his own love and gives his music to his best friend, singer Henry Brooks, to woo her. Mixing original tunes with jazz standards, Miravel shows how an artist’s greatest obstacle to creation can often be himself. Ovation and LA Drama Critics Circle Award winner Jake Broder wrote and stars in this world premiere musical.
