Environment Canada has warned of a storm system heading towards parts of Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes later this week as it moves north from the U.S. According to the latest weather statement issued by Environment Canada on Monday morning, a “major storm system” is expected to hit southern Ontario Wednesday and continue east, passing through southern Quebec and New Brunswick late Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
The statement by the weather agency explained that the storm was prompted by a low pressure system developing over the southern U.S., which is expected to head north. The statements for southern Ontario pointed out that “this storm is expected to bring rain and significant snow to some areas, along with the possibility of freezing rain.” Whereas, snowfall is expected to arrive first in Quebec but will transition into freezing rain and then rain by Thursday. Whereas, the weather agency forecasts that snow will be changing into rain in New Brunswick on Wednesday evening. The rain is expected to last through the day on Thursday, and may be heavy in the southwest. Snowfall, freezing rain or rainfall warnings may be issued if necessary.
In addition to that, the statement claims that it’s too early to predict the exacted path of the storm so it cannot be projected which parts of the provinces will have the heaviest snowfall or how much precipitation residents can expect. Environment Canada said the statements will be updated “as the storm system evolves.”
As usual, mayor watson of Ottawa will be whining like the big, corrupt baby, that he is, about Ottawa’s snow budget. There really is zero intelligent life in this useless town !
