Closer to home, Bollywood and its actors have also been not spared by the cyber criminals. Be it cyber fraud, cyber phishing or an impostor pretending to be someone else, Bollywood has 'been there, seen that'. The latest victim of cybercrime is none other than Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao, who, recently, lodged a complaint stating that a certain impersonator was not just posing as her, but also had uploaded her photograph on Facebook and was chatting with her friends and family members.

The cyber cell cops have registered Kiran Rao's complaint and have initiated the probe into the matter. As per the media reports, the cyber cops have recorded Kiran Rao's statement. Post that, an FIR was also lodged against the impostor under sections 419 (cheating by personation) and 66C (identity theft) and 66D (cheating by personation by using computer resource) of the IT Act.
