The Tum Bin series that boasted about a unique collection of romantic songs turned out to be iconic when the first instalment released in 2001. And now, after 15 years, the second instalment is all set to revive memories of the film with the song ‘Koi Fariyaad’ that has been re-titled as ‘Teri Fariyaad’ in the forthcoming release. Readers may recollect that the song ‘Koi Fariyaad’ was sung by the late Ghazal legend Jagjit Singh for the prequel. And now adding the contemporary touch, the song has been recreated by singer Ankit Tiwari and it also has Rekha Bhardwaj lending her voice. At the same time, we hear that certain portions of Jagjit Singh’s verses have been retained in ‘Teri Fariyaad’. The lyrics is written by Shakeel Azmi and the makers unveiled the song today on YouTube. Tum Bin 2, produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed by Anubhav Sinha, features Neha Sharma in the female lead along with Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati playing male leads.
