Now that Jism 2 has released, Pooja Bhatt is priding herself as well in taking the legacy forward. While Sunny Leone's presence has of course buoyed the fortunes of the film, what is making Pooja comfortable is the fact that controlled costs have allowed her further cushioning.

"Exactly", she says, "I can say with great pride that I have managed to imbibe Bhatt formula of low costs and high concept. I live by that. This means that at times I am considered as this tyrant on the sets. That's okay because my team which has worked with me for years knows where I am coming from. Also, I strongly believe in the core thought that give someone Rs. 20 crores and he would comfortably go ahead and make a film. However you tell the same story in Rs. 6-8 crores and then it's called brilliance", she fires away.

Taking a not-so-subtle dig at some of her esteemed colleagues who love to overshoot, Pooja questions, "You tell me, where is creativity if you shoot for four hours and then edit two hours out of it?"

Applying 'horses for courses' approach, she doesn't have any disdain for big budget films but says that there has to be a definite reason behind such decisions.

"I understand if you are making a Salman Khan movie; then you definitely need a big budget because you are traveling to these expensive foreign locales to shoot. However when you are making an intimate movie like Jism 2, why do you need a budget of 20 crores? You can do the same in less than half the amount and still make a movie look good", reasons Pooja.

No wonder, when she took charge of Jism 2, her mandate was to ensure that everyone made money out of it.

"I would be on the losing end if God forbid, Jism 2 doesn't work. However the model is such that my investors would still make money", she says, "For me, that's what a successful movie is. By the grace of God, all deals for the film were closed even before we went on floors."

Since this is not a film made under Mukesh Bhatt's 'Vishesh Films' banner and is instead her own co-production with Dino Morea, she sighs that she doesn't have anyone to shield her interests.

"This is the reason why I feel that all these directors who work with Mukesh Bhatt are fortunate because if the film works, they get credit and in case it feels, the production house owns it up", she smiles, "On the other hand, when my films like Dhokha or Holiday flopped, I had to take the entire blame since they were my productions. Now for Jism 2 I am in a responsible position again and I need to make sure that I protect everyone's interests."
