Majinder Brar charged with internet luring, Hamilton

On September 13th, 2010 the Hamilton Police Service arrested a male who in the period from November 10th, 2008 to March 2009 contacted a fourteen year old female over the internet and feigned he was someone else, offering her large sums of money for sexual acts with another male, who in actuality, was the same person.

The male went under different names and e-mail addresses on the World Wide Web, including, moebling55@hotmail.com, tonicweed@hotmail.com and desiranjah@hotmail.com. He also went by the alias of Steve.

Hamilton Police encourage parents to be vigilant with their children’s access to the internet.

Hamilton Police have concerns that there are other victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Blake Easto at 905-546-3926.

Since the arrest of Majinder BRAR on September 13th, 2010, Hamilton Police received further information alleging similar criminal activity of BRAR.

A second female victim, who was 16 yrs. at the time, told police that from May 2009 to July 2009 she was victim of the same type of incident. Majinder BRAR was arrested today and is expected to appear in court in the afternoon for a bail hearing.

Hamilton Police through investigation learned that Majinder BRAR was an organizer of “All Ages” dance parties prior to and including the year 2009. Investigators believe BRAR would use these events as a means to procure his victims.
