Background:

The District 11 RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating two people reported missing on Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

50-year-old David Harrison and 59-year-old Grace Steeves left from the Elgin area on a red three-wheeler on the afternoon of Sunday, May 29. It’s believed they were heading for the area of Prosser Brook, N.B.

The pair had a backpack and a blanket with them, but it’s not known whether they had taken any food or water along. It’s believed neither was wearing a helmet.

David Harrison is described as being 5’10’ tall, with short, grey hair and a moustache. He has a space between his front teeth. He may have been wearing jeans.

Grace Steeves is 5’5′ tall and weighs about 230 pounds. She has green eyes and short, black hair. She was last seen wearing a light-coloured sweater, beige pants and sneakers. She wears glasses, is blind in one eye and has multiple sclerosis, which makes it difficult for her to walk.

Members of the RCMP, Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue volunteers, and officials from the New Brunswick Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement Unit are participating in the search. A rescue helicopter from Nova Scotia is also conducting aerial searches of the area.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two individuals, or who may have seen them since May 29, is asked to contact RCMP.
