The summer movie madness continues as all the major studios vie for our entertainment dollars and the Internet is awash with trailers attempting to whet our appetites for the up-coming cinematic offerings. ComingSoon.Net offers a nifty breakdown by month of all the soon to be released films so we can all get a fairly good idea of how to schedule our time and manage our money. After all, we can’t see everything. Heck who’s got the time and who’s got the money? As a consequence, I, for one, plan on being prudent in making my selection. – Geesh, can you live on a diet of popcorn? Lots of fibre, I guess. – I’m repeating myself, but I think the rating handed out by Rotten Tomatoes is a good indication of the quality of a film. We only have so much time so why not spend it with something we’re going to hopefully enjoy. Who likes to walk out of a movie theatre saying that they would like two hours of their life back. Ha! Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the film but more importantly, in case you haven’t guessed, you can’t get those two hours back. They’re gone, up in smoke, sayonara, kiss’em good-bye.
The following is a random sampling of a few, just a few, ah, four exactly, films coming up in the next couple of weeks. This is odd seeing me include Harry Potter as I have not seen one of the films or read any of the books. Go figure. The others? Two romantic comedies which I hope turn out to be good as who doesn’t like a good romantic comedy. And finally, double oh seven Daniel Craig in a truly weird marriage: science fiction and a western. Go figure again.
After the trailers, I’ve provided links to Wikipedia articles for all four films plus links to the official movie sites. Enjoy!
