Members of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) have charged a North Kentville man with Child Pornography offences.
On January 4th, the RCMP/HRP Integrated ICE Unit with assistance from the RCMP Provincial ICE Unit and New Minas RCMP executed a search at a residence on Lamont Road, North Kentville, and seized computers and other items including a camera, phone and documents.
36-year-old Jason Pitts of North Kentville has been charged with one count each of Possession of Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography. Pitts was released on conditions to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on March 5, 2012
The ICE Unit investigates individuals who victimize children by accessing, making, possessing and/or distributing child sexual abuse images and/or lure children over the internet for a sexual purpose. Citizens are encouraged to call police or Crime Stoppers with any knowledge of child abuse or criminal activity occurring in your community.
