At approximately 7:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012, Edmonton Police Service officers were dispatched to 199 Street and 23 Avenue on the report of a single vehicle roll over.

Upon arrival at 7:50 p.m., EMS at the scene pronounced the lone occupant of the 1993 Black Mercedes, a 60 year-old male, deceased.

The vehicle had been traveling northbound on 199 Street from 23 Avenue when it allegedly lost control, went off the road, and rolled into a field.

Weather and roadway conditions are not considered to be contributing factors in the crash. However, the vehicle was seized for mechanical inspection, and speed and alcohol are being investigated.
