Mumbai: Rajesh Khanna has passed away and his rituals have also been done and now the legendary mega star of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan has been sending the food to Rajesh’s bungalow ‘Aashirwad’. The reports have it that Bachchan family is the one who has sending the food top Dimple Kapadia and family at Khanna’s residence since according to Hindu customs, the family of the dead cannot cook the food till the 13th day. Bachchans, who are famous for being much close to Dimple and her daughters – Twinkle and Rinkie Khanna, have been providing fuller support to them in this difficult time.
Over the weekend, both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were spotted leaving Khanna’s home after meeting his family inside. On his blog, Amitabh wrote that Khanna’s rituals were over and the food from their home was being sent to Dimple at Khanna’s residence as she planned to stay there till the 13th as per the customs.
It was also noted that both father and son – Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan were among those few who visited Rajesh Khanna’s home first when the news of his demise was broken. After Khanna’s death, Bachchan also wrote in detail about his first encounter with Rajesh Khanna on the sets of the film ‘Anand’.
When Khanna’s funeral was held, there was huge traffic on the roads outside his residence in Mumbai. This created difficulty for the stars to reach at the funeral place on their vehicles. Thus both Amitabh and Abhishek walked to the place of funeral. The fans got crazy seeing the superstar and his son walking on the streets of Mumbai.
Both Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna were not only costars but also good friends. Their families used to visit each other’s place. It was a good family bonding between the two families.
