La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts (La Mirada, CA)

Tis the season for a holiday revue show featuring the songs of jazz and soul standards from Mel Tormé, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald, all sung by today’s popular vocalists at the Upright Cabaret’s A Broadway Christmas. Performing as Nat King Cole is David Hernandez, who rose to fame as an American Idol finalist and has appeared on The Today Show, MTV’s TRL, The Ellen Show and more. James Tormé will sing the songs of his father Mel, a Grammy-award winning singer whose songwriting credits include “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire.)” Tony award-winning Broadway actress and singer Lillias White will portray the legendary Ella Fitzgerald, also known as “First Lady of Song” and “Queen of Jazz.” With brassy horns, vibrant strings and cheerful arrangements, A Broadway Christmas presents unforgettable songs in an all-star revue.
