A psychologist travels to a space station that’s in disarray, staffed by a skeleton crew experiencing a mysterious mental and emotional crisis, in the landmark 1972 sci-fi film, Solaris. Directed by Russian auteur Andrei Tarkovsky, Solaris has been called one of the 100 best films of world cinema by Empire magazine and hailed as “a sci-fi masterpiece” by Salman Rushdie. Renowned American director Steven Soderbergh remade the movie in 2002 with George Clooney in the lead role.
