Four teenagers were taken to hospital – one was airlifted with serious injuries – after a single motor vehicle collision last night in Scugog Township.

On Thursday, July 22, 2010 just before 10 p.m., officers were called to Cartwright West Quarter Line just south of Bradburn Road (south of Blackstock) regarding a single motor vehicle collision. A green Chevrolet passenger car with four Scugog Township teenagers inside was southbound on Cartwright West Quarter Line, when the 17-year-old male driver lost control and entered the east ditch.

The collision resulted in all four occupants being injured. A 13-year-old female was airlifted to hospital in Toronto with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A 16-year-old male was later taken by ambulance to a Toronto hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Lakeridge Health Port Perry for treatment. A 14-year-old female passenger was also taken to local hospital and later discharged with non-life-threatening injuries.
