She is now planning to join hands with Shiladitya Sengupta (the winner of 2009's 'DoD Breast Cancer Research Program Collaborative Innovators Award') in order to open an institute, that's pencilled on the lines of Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Speaking about the same, Lisa Ray said that Shiladitya and she shared a common wish, a dream of having a cancer institute in India. As a step towards the same, she is planning to continue to spread awareness through the media, talks, and collaborations with medical professionals in the country.
