Fatal double vehicle collision near Campbellville Road claims Flamborough woman’s life

On Tuesday December 2nd, 2014 at 3:28 p.m., Hamilton Policeresponded to the intersection of Campbellville Road and Centre Road for a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles.

A 23-year-old Flamborough woman was travelling northbound on CentreRoad while a 47-year-old Flamborough man was travelling westbound on Campbellville Road. As the woman entered the intersection at the two roadways she struck the male’s vehicle. Both cars came to a rest in the ditch at the North West corner with the male’s car flipped on its roof.

The male had succumbed to his injuries at the scene while the female received minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.

The intersection is regulated by a stop sign for north and southbound traffic while east and westbound traffic travel as a thru-way.

The investigation is ongoing and charges cannot be determined at this time.
