Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Monday that the hockey club has recalled goaltender James Reimer from the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.Reimer has played in 10 games for the Marlies this season posting a record of 6-3-1, a goals against average of 2.59 and a save percentage of .926. He was also recalled by the Leafs on November 17 and dressed for six games (November 18 – 30). The 6-2, 208-pound goaltender was originally the Leafs’ third choice, selected 99th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
The Toronto Marlies will begin a stretch of four games on the road beginning on Wednesday when they visit the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins. The Marlies’ next home game will take place on Saturday, December 18 at 3 p.m. when they host Rochester Americans at Ricoh Coliseum.
