On Monday, May 30, 2011, at approximately 10:15 pm, units from the Fifth District responded to the 1400 block of New Jersey Ave, NW, to investigate sounds of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they discovered a juvenile male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. They also located another victim nearby suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and transported both victims to a local area hospital. At 10:58 pm the first victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 15-year-old Isaiah Harris of NW, Washington, DC. The identity of the second victim is being withheld at this time.
isaiah harris was my friend. i go 2 a school he used 2. but he left the school. i still tlked 2 him all the time on the phone fb and more. sometimes i would even see him. he was a great person and dosent deserve this. whoever dcomment_ID this should be severley punished. i miss u Isaiah Harris, and if it makes u feel any better my eyes got bloodshot red when i was crying 4 u @ electives. i love u sooo much!
