Victory: Kapoeta North County officials cheerfully carrying their new Paramount chief after winning elections in Riwoto [©Gurtong]Kapoeta North County in Eastern Equatoria State, has finally confirmed through a democratic election a new Paramount chief, Mr. Lino Lokuron Lomuno who beat his three opponents with 30 votes out of the 47 total votes casted. 

The election took place on the 31st December 2011 after the conclusion of a 3 day training workshop at Riwoto Secondary school in Riwoto town of Kapoeta North County.     
  
The three candidates; Aurelio Lolup, Evaristo Cheche and Charles Meri Loluae scored 12, 5 and 0 votes respectively.   
  
Mr. Lokuron was chief in acting capacity since March 2011 following ousting of the former Paramount chief, Mr. Charles Meri Loluae who was dismissed on gross misconduct charges.
