The Oshawa Power has traded forward Akeem Wright to the Moncton Miracles for forward Andrew Francis.
The 6’7” 210lb Francis, comes to the Power having appeared in fifteen games for the Miracles. He averages 12.8 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game and scored a season-high 26 points against the league’s top team the London Lightning earlier this season.
The Houston native is an athletic wing player who will add toughness and depth to the Power roster.
The Power organization is very pleased to bring Francis on board.
“Andrew brings a great skill set to our team including the ability to rebound, and shoot with consistency,” said Gary Durrant, President of Basketball Operations. “He adds length, athleticism and tenacity to our lineup.”
Wright had been with the Power since opening day.
“Akeem Wright is a very talented player and we appreciate everything that he has done for this team and wish him all the best in his future endeavours”, said Durrant.
