Dorothy Chandler Pavilion-5th Floor Space (Los Angeles, CA)

Le Salon de Musiques’ latest elegant, intimate classical-performance event features the American premiere of Andre Caplet’s Quintet for Piano and Winds, as well as Charles-Marie Widor’s Suite for Flute and Piano. Both of these works are part of the ensemble’s third-season focus on the lesser-known gems of the Romantic and Neo-Romantic movements. As always, their unique approach to making chamber music more accessible will take place on the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in a stage-free environment that removes the boundaries between audience and artist. There’s an introduction by musicologist Julius Reder Carlson, and following the performance, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss the music with the musicians and other audience members while sipping complimentary champagne, finger sandwiches and other gourmet delights and beverages provided by Patina.
