The Valley Film Festival is now in its twelfth year as the first and leading showcase for contemporary and avant-garde cinema produced by San Fernando Valley residents, along with national and international independent filmmakers. This year’s festival includes a screening of End of the Road, a thriller by first-time director JP Pierce. Originally titled Spirit Hunters, this genre piece went to Cannes in 2011. It’s the story of a ghost hunting reality show that becomes a bit too real when the host dies during filming, awakening angry spirits with a thirst for blood.
