More details about David Crosby’s death

David Crosby, the legendary singer-songwriter and founding member of The Byrds, passed away in January. His former bandmate Graham Nash was shocked to learn of his death, as Crosby was rehearsing for a show in Los Angeles with a full band just days before. According to Nash, Crosby had contracted COVID-19 for a second time and decided to take a nap at home, from which he never woke up.

Although Crosby’s family initially stated that he had passed away after a “long illness,” Nash revealed that he died from COVID-19. Crosby was revered in the music industry and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, first with The Byrds and then with Crosby, Stills & Nash (later known as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young).

Despite their tumultuous relationship, Nash and Crosby had grown closer in recent years, and Nash spoke fondly of their deep friendship and the pure joy of the music they created together.
