Hamilton police has announced to have arrested the second suspect connected to the Timothy Bosma homicide investigation. The announcement of the arrest was made in a press briefing by Hamilton Police on Wednesday, only few hours after Bosma’s memorial service that was attended by hundreds.

Police disclosed that 25-year-old Mark Smich of Oakville, Ont., will be appearing in Hamilton court on Thursday morning, where he will face a charge of first-degree murder in Bosma’s death. In the press briefing, it was explained that Smich is believed to be the second man who accompanied Tim Bosma and Dellen Millard on the test drive on May 6. Reporters were informed by the Hamilton Supt., Dan Kinsella, that the arrest took place almost after 10 a.m. while Smich was on foot near Dorval Drive and Wyecroft Road in Oakville. Police was reputedly canvasing the home listed as Smich family property and made the arrest not more than one kilometre from the home.

The first suspect involved in the case, 27-year-old Dellen Millard, remains in jail and will be facing charges of first-degree murder, forcible confinement and theft over $5,000. Bosma, who married three year ago and was a father of a two-year-old, disappeared on May 6 after taking two strangers on a test drive of a pickup truck he was trying to sell online. Almost a week into the manhunt, police found Bosma’s charred remains at a farm owned by Dellen Millard in the Waterloo, Ont., area. The motive of the crime still remains a mystery for police.
