Ongoing investigations by members of the Edmonton Gang and Drug Enforcement (EDGE) Unit led to a search warrant being executed on a residence in the area of 75 Avenue and 171 Street on Saturday, Sept. 4.
Inside the residence police seized over $140,000 in cash, 16.5 pounds of marihuana with a street value exceeding $40,000, and a small amount of cocaine. Forfeiture of the cash is being sought under Alberta’s Victims Restitution and Compensation Payment Act.
Ryan Christopher Verrett, 28, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
