At approximately 2:05am on Sunday August 7, 2011 Surrey RCMP received a 911 call regarding an incident that occurred at a residence in the 12100 block of 96a Ave. Uniformed officers attended the scene and located an adult male resident deceased outside his home.
Surrey RCMP Uniform and Serious Crime officers determined that the male subject appeared to be a victim of a stabbing. Further investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 38 year old female of Surrey who currently remains in police custody.
IHIT has taken over the investigation and is supported by the Lower Mainland District Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS). Integrated Police Dog Services (IPDS), Surrey Serious Crime and Uniform officers along with the BC Coroners Office.
Officers will be at the scene of the homicide and will be conducting neighbourhood enquiries throughout the day.
