Ever since Rajkumar Hirani announced that he is making a biopic on Sanjay Dutt’s life starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, there have been several speculations about which moments from his life will be shown in the film and which actors will become a part of it.
As Sanjay Dutt’s father was legendary actor Sunil Dutt, speculations have been rife about who will portray his character in the film. According to a leading daily, Rajkumar Hirani has locked Akshaye Khanna for Sunil Dutt’s role. After considering many actors, Akshaye is actually the top contender for the role. Rajkumar Hirani and Akshaye Khanna are yet to confirm the news. As of now, Ranbir Kapoor is prepping for Sanjay Dutt’s part.
In July, Akshaye Khanna returned to the big screen after a four-year hiatus as an antagonist in Rohit Dhawan’s successful action film Dishoom which starred John Abraham and Varun Dhawan. He has been shooting for Boney Kapoor’s next production tentatively titled Mom with Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
