The race enters its ninth stage on the ninth of July, it looks so much absorbing bike race for the challengers. The 2012 Tour de France will be in full swing at this point while travelling through northern France and into Switzerland. This action-packed event force in the first half of the nearly month long

Stage 9 has Time trial with a total 379m high point over a distance of 41.5 km. it travels from Arc-et-Senans to Besancon in a short, individual time-trial race, as it lasts only 38 km. Besancon has previously hosted a stage 18 different times.

The contenders should take the better advantage of this opportunity, as they will leave the flat straightaway for the wavy way of the high mountains in the days that coming next. The winner of this stage will have big shoes to fill. The last man to win a time trial finishing in Belancon was Lance Armstrong. This stage will be one of the most exciting on the tour.

Time trial could be crucial to the final as top contenders will be trying to win the stage and put as much time into their competitor as possible, each moment counts. It’s an ideal length for the good riders but not really as straightforward as the second time trial.
