Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)

Diavolo’s dancers, gymnasts, athletes and actors explore the space where reality ends and imagination begins in their daring program Architecture in Motion. Outrageous, surrealistic sets play an essential role in each of the evening’s works, in which the daredevil dance company takes athleticism to the extreme to create abstract narratives that showcase the interplay between architecture and movement. For its return to Northridge, Diavolo will perform the complete trilogy of L’Espace du Temps. Choreographed in part to Philip Glass’ Symphony No. 3, this work is set on an abstract dome structure on which performers explore metaphors of infinite space, continuous movement and humanity’s voyage into an unknown future.
