The Eastern Equatoria State deputy Governor Nartisio Loluke Manir announced during the World Women’s Day Celebrations early this week that in that fateful day, the late State Police Commissioner was on a short trip to Khartoum to meet his family after his father’s death but died of blood pressure that he suffered over night the day before.
According to officials in the Government of Eastern Equatoria State- EES, the late took up his assignment late last year replacing his predecessor Major General Joseph Makelele, the former Police Commissioner who was transferred to Juba.
The late Hassen had first travelled to his homeland in Central Equatoria and later proceeded to Khartoum to join his family members for his father’s burial when he succumbed to death.
Many officials described the late Commissioner as a hard working and resourceful gentleman saying not only Eastern Equatoria but South Sudan at large has lost a hero.
Loluke assured the public that three different committees were formed to organize and hold a State funeral.
While giving her condolences to the deceased family on behalf of the State Government, the State Telecommunication & Information Minister Nasike Allan Lochul encouraged the family to be strong and promised that the state Government will continue to stand with them during these difficult times.
She stressed that the late departed at a decisive time when the EES community needed him mainly to keep security and maintain peace.
