Houston Chevron gas station employee Syed Hussain shot dead during robbery

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5445 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 4:40 p.m. on Friday (June 17).

The male victim, Syed Hussain, 28, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Saturday (June 18).

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carillo and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported:

Mr. Hussain was an employee of the Chevron gas station at the above address. Hussain accompanied a fellow employee, who was carrying a large sum of cash, to his vehicle parked next to a gas pump at the station. As Hussain and the other employee neared the employee’s car they were approached by a black male suspect who attempted to rob the employee. Hussain and the suspect began struggling over the cash. The suspect then discharged what is believed to be a small handgun and fled northbound on foot. The suspect was not able to obtain any cash.

The suspect is described only as a black male in his late 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build and wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants.

  1. In a civilized part of the world such inccomment_IDents doesn’t indicates towards terrorism. Its not the 1st happening of such inccomment_IDent. They( GOV BODY ) are simply unable to stop the killing of people for just a few dollars. It rarely happens in the other parts of the world that a person being killed for just a few dollars. SHAME FOR SUCH CIVILIZED COUNTRY AND DEVELOPED COUNTRY.
