Investigators working out of the #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in locating a missing 58-year-old woman from the Town of East Gwillimbury.
Katherine Peddle was last seen at her residence on Davis Drive, west of Warden Avenue on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at approximately 1:30 p.m. Police are concerned for her well-being as she suffers from a medical condition that makes her vulnerable in a variety of ways. Police are asking pedestrians and motorists to stay on the lookout in the Greater Toronto Area and to call police if they recognize Ms. Peddle. Investigators believe Ms. Peddle may have hitch hiked to the Toronto area.
She is described as:
– Female, white, 58 years
– 5’4”, 180 lbs.
– Blue eyes, strawberry blond hair
– Last seen wearing a pink hooded jacket with fur, black jeans, red and blue running shoe.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Update: Ms. Peddle returned to her home on her own late Friday afternoon.
