The University of Toronto Sustainability Symposium will advance a vision of a “living lab” for sustainability, exploring how innovative solutions developed and tested on campus can contribute to the broader challenge of urban sustainability. The evening lecture will tackle the fraught role of cities in addressing the multiple interconnected challenges of sustainability. Bob Willard, Author of The Sustainability Advantage and Tanzeel Merchant, DiverseCity Fellow and Board Member, Heritage Toronto. The visioning workshop presentations and breakout session to build a principles and strategies for University-wide participation in a living lab for sustainability. The presentation sessions will discuss 3 themes: Innovation and Change, Resilience and Risk and Collective Governance.
