A rocking musical, Memphis immortalizes the man who first spun the music of black and white musicians together on American radio. Inspired by actual events, this nationally touring show centers on Huey Calhoun, a DJ in the ’50s who falls in love with a black club singer and goes on a mission to unite the country through music. Winner of four 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Memphis was penned by Joe DiPietro, author of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and Over the River and Through the Woods, includes music from Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan and is directed by Tony nominee Christopher Ashley (Xanadu).
