On Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 10:40 p.m., police responded to the report of a pedestrian struck collision at the intersection of Dupont Street/Lansdowne Avenue.

It is alleged that:

– a man was walking across Dupont Street, from the north side to the south side, on the east side of the intersection,

– a white Ford Cargo van was turning from southbound Lansdowne Avenue to Dupont Street, striking the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital and is in critical condition.

The van driver remained at the scene.

The victim was not carrying any identification.

He is described as, in his 50’s, 5’7", 140-150 lbs., light brown skin, short black/grey hair and brown eyes. He has a grey beard and moustache.

He was wearing a charcoal/grey winter coat with hood, brown pants, black leather ankle boots, faded black T-shirt under a reddish/pink flannel shirt, older-style, wire-rimmed glasses.

He was carrying a key ring with 12 keys and two mini-swipe cards.
