It’s going to a be a Manic Monday at the L.A. County Fair when The Bangles take the stage for a total ’80s flashback concert with a lineup that also includes Berlin, featuring Terri Nunn and Martha Davis and The Motels. One of the top bands of the ’80s, The Bangles were living proof that girls can rock. With Top 10 hits like “Walk Like an Egyptian,” “Manic Monday” and their biggest seller, “Eternal Flame,” the band earned world-wide fame. Another female-fronted band, Berlin hit the New Wave scene with synth-infused hits like “The Metro” and “No More Words.” Led by the flirtatious Terri Nunn, the band is most remembered for “Take My Breath Away,” which set the mood for the unforgettable love scene in Top Gun. Rounding out the woman-powered lineup is Martha Davis and the Motels. Davis’ soulful vocals and stage presence put The Motels at the forefront of the pop scene of the 1980s, with hits including “Only the Lonely” and “Suddenly Last Summer.”
