Bruce Alan Cooper charged with kidnapping and sexual assaults in Edmonton

EPS Sexual Assault Section Detectives have charged an Edmonton man in connection with two sexual assaults that allegedly occurred last year.

Following extensive investigative work, detectives charged a 42-year-old man on August 11, 2010 with numerous offences in relation to two incidents – one dating back to August 8, 2009 and the other on September 20, 2009 – after two women filed reports with police. It is alleged that in these two occurrences, both females were offered a ride, taken to a secluded area in south Edmonton and allegedly sexually assaulted.

Bruce Alan Cooper, 42, has been charged with kidnapping (x2), assault, sexual assault, sexual assault with threats to cause bodily harm (x2), unlawful confinement, choking with intent to overcome resistance (x2), assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
