Windsor man Kevin Poblete charged with attempt murder in December shooting

On Monday December 9, 2013 Windsor Police were called to a home invasion in the 800 block of Langlois Avenue.  Two suspects had entered a residence, one carrying some type of wooden club and the second suspect produced a firearm.

After a physical confrontation, a 49 year old male resident at the home suffered a gunshot wound to his head and a number of lacerations to his scalp.  The two suspects fled the scene taking nothing.  The victim is still recovering from his injury.
 
On January 28, 2014, after significant developments in the investigation, police arrested 20 year old Kevin Poblete of Windsor.  Poblete is charged with attempt murder for shooting the 49 year old victim.
 
The investigation is continuing and Poblete could be facing additional charges in relation to the incident.
 
The second suspect is still wanted by police.  He is described as being male, in his early 20’s, 5’7″, slim build wearing a grey hoody and black ball cap.
