Back in 2012, there was a massive hue and cry over the bold film Hate Story that was produced by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. Now two years later, Vikram is ready with the sequel to the film titled Hate Story 2 which is directed by Vishal Pandya. While the film is touted to push the envelope of boldness further, we hear that it has landed in a spot of trouble with the censor board.
Apparently, the board has come down strongly on the makers of the film over the depiction of a passionate kiss in the film. The said scene is a recreation of the steamy sequence between Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit from the Feroz Khan directed film Dayavan. It is learnt that the censor board has taken objection to the version of the song that has Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali, the lead cast of the film, categorically stating that they cannot allow the song to be aired on television. This decision of the board has forced the makers to snip certain explicit portions.
