The success of Pitch Perfect and The Sing-Off prove that the sweet sounds of a cappella are far from going out of style. Now, L.A.’s own early ’60s doo-wop specialists are back, as founding member Marv Rosenberg recreates The Safaris, with the same surf harmonies that earned them a gold record with their hit, “Image of a Girl.” Besides their own singles, which include “In the Still of the Night,” the quintet is set to sing early rock era favorites like “I Wonder Why,” “Come Go with Me,” “Teenager in Love,” “You Belong to Me” and “Sincerely,” among many others.
