Three arrested for selling cocaine from Toronto apartment

On Friday, July 8, 2011, at 9:35 p.m., members of the 31 Division Community Response Unit and the Emergency Task Force executed a search warrant at 2020 Sheppard Avenue West.

The search warrant was the result of an investigation stemming from community concerns of alleged criminal activities in the apartment.

It is further alleged that the following were seized: crack cocaine, marijuana and money.

Thavysay Phaengnavong, 20, aka Sam Phaengnavong, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Possession of cocaine,
2) Possession for the purpose – Cocaine,
3) Possession of proceeds of crime,
4) three counts of Fail to Comply with recognizance,
5) Fail to Comply with probation.

Kadeem Higgins, 20, of no fixed address, is charged with:
1) Possession of cocaine,
2) Possession for the purpose – Cocaine,
3) Fail to Comply with probation.

Kerick Wilson, 19, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Possession of cocaine,
2) Possession for the purpose – Cocaine,
3) Possession of marijuana.

They were scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Saturday, July 9, 2011.

The Community Response Unit would like to thank the members of the community who assisted with this investigation.
