Jeffrey Kahane conducts the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra in Refracted, a concert featuring pianist Timothy Andres. The 27-year-old Yale School of Music graduate — who goes by the nickname Timo — will present the world premiere of his LACO Sound Investment-commissioned Old Keys. Andres also unveils the West Coast premiere of his own re-interpretation of the left-hand part of Mozart’s Coronation concerto, originally improvised by the 18th-century composer, giving the masterwork a decidedly modern-day feel.
