City counselor of Logan Hanjal Black got released on bail by a Brisbane court Friday morning after being arrested earlier in the day.
Mrs. Black was released on bail by the magistrate of the Brisbane court when she appeared in front of the court after filing for bail. The magistrate granted Mrs. Black a conditional bail such that she will remain in her house in New Beith and must report to the nearby police station on every working day of the weekend, starting from Monday.
Mrs. Black was arrested from her residence earlier in the day without creating much of a scene in the neighborhood. She was in hiding for six weeks now and is believed that the police was tipped off by some local resident in the area about the whereabouts of the counselor. Her arrest warrants were issued last Friday. Police has been searching for her since then but was unsuccessful in locating her until today. Police had also made several search attempts in her New Beith residence during the previous week but could not discover her.
Mrs. Black was declared guilty by the court in December 2011 where it was proved that she misused the funds of a man several decades elder to him as she had his power of attorney.
