The Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit has arrested and charged a Hamilton man after investigating allegations of child luring.
Hamilton Police received information that a male using the name “Da Majestic” and “Manny” was using social media to offer young girls money for sex. Hamilton Police investigated and the suspect was identified as Majinder Brar. Over the course of April 2nd to April 11th, 2012, an undercover officer posing as a 14 yr. old girl communicated with the suspect through social media and e-mail and it is alleged that during that time he offered sums of money for sexual relations.
On April 11th, 2012, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Majinder Brar attended the area of Limeridge Rd. E. near Upper Ottawa St., with the intent to meet a 14 yr. old girl for sexual relations. Majinder Brar was arrested at that location. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for April 12th, 2012.
The investigation continued and members of the Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed a search warrant at Majinder Brar’s residence. Police seized computer equipment and other electronics from the home for further forensic examination.

Hamilton Police encourage parents to be vigilant with their children’s access to the Internet and the use of social media.
The Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit continues to investigate and believe there may be other victims.
