Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Internal Affairs Bureau have arrested and charged a seven-year veteran of the police service.

On Friday, April 9, 2010, Constable Kyle GATT, age 34, was arrested and charged with Theft Over $5000, Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Trust. These charges stem from his involvement in an investigation, while he was assigned to the Street Crime / Gang Unit.

Constable GATT’s next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in Brampton. He was suspended, with pay, on October 15, 2009, and so remains, pending the resolution of this matter in court.

The investigation is still on-going. As a result, no further information will be provided at this time regarding the investigation.
