On Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 11:42 p.m., police responded to a call for unknown trouble at 2000 Sheppard Avenue West.
It was reported that:
– police located a man’s body on the north side of the building at 2000 Sheppard Avenue West
As a result of an ongoing investigation, on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., Richard Robert Smith, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested.
He is charged with:
1) Manslaughter
2) two counts of Robbery while armed with firearm
3) Break and enter – commit
4) Disguise with intent
5) Conspiracy to commit and indictable offence
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, in courtroom 306, on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 10 a.m.
Richard Robert Smith is the person identified in previous news releases as the person of interest in the red hat.
Charges are pending against a 21-year-old female suspect.
The other two suspects are yet to be identified.
