Based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s beloved novel Anne of Green Gables, the new family musical Bend in the Road gives fresh life to the classic story of young Anne Shirley. She’s an orphan who gets mistakenly adopted by siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert to help them on their Avonlea farm. Soon, Anne’s intelligent, joyous and imaginative ways change the lives of everyone around her — including those of the small town’s nosy gossip and Anne’s rival classmate. Benita Scheckel and Michael Upward wrote the show, which Scheckel directs.
