After 30 years of metal, Kreator are arguably the most influential and successful European thrash band ever. From their incredible early albums Terrible Certainty and Extreme Aggression to their 13th album Phantom Antichrist, the venerable band has helped define the speed metal genre. The ’90s saw the band broadening their sound with sonic reinventions, but Kreator has once again become a thrash metal force in recent years, laying waste to imitators with their unbridled fury and raw sound. After over a decade of retirement, Accept returned to metal with a new singer and a roaring comeback album in 2010. The band released another album earlier this year, and their new material is every bit as fierce and fresh as the band was during their ’80s heyday. Finnish doom/death metal band Swallow the Sun opens the show for the two legendary metal acts.
