Los Farrucos, the first family of Gypsy Flamenco dance are coming to Redondo Beach and they are bringing the newest member of their family, the 14-year-old El Carpeta, who will make his U.S. performance debut. El Carpeta is the youngest grandson of the legendary El Farruco. He will take the stage for the first time in the United States in Southern California, joined by his mother, the sublimely soulful La Farruca, matriarch of the First Family of Gypsy Flamenco Dance. El Carpeta is already becoming known as the most extraordinary flamenco dancer of his generation and torchbearer for the family legacy. He was featured in Carlos Saura’s 2012 film Flamenco, Flamenco.
