The Long Way Home is a personal look back at the conception, creation, and theatrical journey of the landmark Vietnam war play, Tracers.Told through poetry, projections, story-telling and live music, this is both a behind-the-scenes story of how theater is made and a story of veterans whose lives have been changed forever by their experiences at war. Tracers is a powerful and devastating theatrical account of the Vietnam War, written by men who were there. The play has been presented in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and London by the Vietnam Veterans Ensemble Theatre Company and was called “a land mine of a play that blows complacency to shreds,” by Newsweek.
